New Titles on Netflix to Check Out ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ ‘Discoverers’ ‘Web Junkie’ and More!

Lots of new titles on Netflix came up this week and although some of them showed promise… looking at you Missionary… others stood out as something you should ACTUALLY watch to enjoy. These are some of the new titles on Netflix to check out!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – Season 1 (2015)
The new Netflix original series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt might just be exactly what everyone needs to help us get out of our post-Oscar-movie-great-performances-but-depressing-as-fuck-movie funk.. Ellie Kemper brings her uncommonly bubbly personality to the role of Kimmy, who was trapped for 15 years underground in a bunker. She’s now 29 and living this new high tech world for the first time. From overtly homosexual roommates to annoyingly wealthy employers, the show has INCREDIBLE promise and will be just what the fun doctor prescribes this weekend.

The Discoverers (2012)
A fun indie comedy about family and (record scratch) LEWIS AND CLARK REENACTMENTS?! A father tries desperately to connect with his children while also trying to get his delusional father to talk about the passing of his wife. Instead of talking about it, he hides himself in a Lewis and Clark retreat. It’s a pretty fun movie to enjoy and is fresh off the festival circuit and has a bit of that indie stench… but the performances are so engaging that you’ll find yourself actually relating to them.

Web Junkie (2013)
Have you ever thought that you had an addiction to the internet because you can’t hold a conversation without scrolling through Instagram? These kids have a genuine problem to the point they have to go to a rehab!  The doc is pretty slow but has an impactful message like the Werner Herzog documentary about texting and driving. I would add it to your queue but not watch it until you want to feel better about yourself or want to see how fucked up the rest of the world is.
