This week brings a CHANGE in the new format, I was finally told to watch a GOOD MOVIE! This week thanks to Elric from last week, we were told to watch The Act of Killing. A doc about the gangsters behind the Indonesian genocide who are asked to film a scene for a movie inspired by their favorite kill they committed in the style of their favorite Hollywood movie. I brought on actor Mark Kelly (Mad Men), returning guest/writer of the 2nd worst film on Netflix Tim Ogletree (The Walking Deceased), and actor Michael J. Sielaff (Reality)! Much to my surprise NO ONE had watched the entire film, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have something to talk about! It’s hard to make a review about a mass murder funny but I think we did a damn good job!
While Mark is watching Netflix with his kids, Michael made the right call and watched the entire series of Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp and then watched the feature film. So Michael had the benefit of not realizing how terrible Michael Showalter looked in comparison to the original film 16 years ago.
