This week’s NEWS HIGHLIGHTS include: AMC will finally premiere the first official trailer for Preacher during the 90-minute episode of The Walking Dead. The first two episodes of The Man in the High Castle are now available to watch for Amazon Prime customers. CBS’s Supergirl premiered to 12.9 million viewers which makes it fall TV’s number one debut. Hannibal showrunner Bryan Fuller is returning to NBC to executive produce an updated version of Amazing Stories. That new Victorian-era Sherlock special will premiere on January 1st on PBS and will be called Sherlock: The Abominable Bride. Starz has renewed Ash vs Evil Dead for a second season ahead of its series premiere. Fox has ordered a full season of The Grinder while CBS has ordered a full season of Life in Pieces. After waiting till the very last minute to renew The Brink, HBO has just canceled The Brink. Against all odds, Ricky Gervais will once again host The Golden Globes. Elizabeth Banks will host SNL for the first time on November 14th. And last and totally least, Universal Studios Orlando is making a new ride inspired by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon called “Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
