Here’s the News Highlights for the week:

After production went on hold in January, HBO has continued shooting the first season of “Westworld.” No idea when it’ll premiere though … Every episode of “Animaniacs” is now available for streaming on Netflix. ABC Freeform is rebooting the BBC series “Misfits” and is adapting the Marvel comic “Cloak & Dagger” to series. Melissa McCarthy will reprise her role as Sookie on the “Gilmore Girls” revival after-all. “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” was renewed for two more seasons, making it tied with “Ozzie and Harriet” as the longest running sitcom in TV history. TBS has extended “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” through to the end of this year’s election season. Freddie Prinze Jr to host Dana Carvey’s “First Impressions” on USA, which is a competition series of people doing impressions. FOX renewed “Lucifer” and “Rosewood’ because, typical FOX. Dick Wolf has created a new “Law & Order” series called “Law & Order: True Crime.” The first season will be about the Menendez Brothers murder trial. CBS orders its own true crime anthology series, the first season will be about JonBenet Ramsey. Tom Waits has signed on to play a revolutionary priest named Cesar in Hulu’s new supernatural series, “Citizen.” His character is being described as “a walking anachronism of virtue and vice—mostly virtue” who “runs a guerrilla humanitarian outfit” in a “supernaturalized” version of Los Angeles.
