Netflix is calling it now, season two of Grace and Frankie is going to be a hit. Such a hit that it has already been greenlit for a third season!
According to Deadline, it has been “unofficially renewed”, which basically means the producers have already started production but they haven’t made the announcement.
The show starring Jane Fonda and Lilly Tomlin as a pair of unlikely friends living together to help each other move on from both their ex-husbands went from being law partners to being life partners. Their ex’s, played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, are just as engaging on the show as Tomlin and Fonda and brought that undying love the show so very much needed.
Brooklyn Decker also co-stars in the series along with Ethan Embry, Baron Vaughn and June Diane Raphael, all playing the grown children.
I’m sure if you’re a fan of the first season, you’re jumping with joy (but don’t jump too high, you’ll break your back) over the news. This was a big return for the team of Fonda and Tomlin… it was a long time ago that 9 to 5 was released. I’m still holding out for a Dolly Parton cameo on the show.
