I’m so happy to say that everything coming to Netflix December 1 isn’t a huge disappointment! There’s actually some highly anticipated titles as well as titles that have never been on Netflix before. It’s a Christmas Miracle!
This month you can expect to see one of the early films of Sam Raimi’s career, new Netflix comedy specials, transgender action movies, NEW TRAILER PARK BOYS, cowboy Adam Sandler, and more Black Mirror! I wasn’t lying, this month has me smiling harder than the time I found out my first girlfriend went to prison for prostitution. The past few months have been a pretty big disappointment as far as titles, but the entire month seems pretty solid, even the Christmas Day releases are awesome!

Darkman (1990) – December 1
Early Sam Raimi starring Liam Neeson as a scientist who gets physically deformed by a bunch of thugs. I don’t need to say more because THAT alone should have sold you, but I will. When he recovers he starts working on a synthetic skin and simultaneously fights crime to seek revenge. It’s full of incredible practical effects and enough awesome comic book style violence to turn anyone into a 15 year old kid watching this.
Tangerine (2015) – December 2
Remember that I said there was a transgender action movie? Well, after hearing that her boyfriend/pimp cheated on her while she was in jail, a hooker and her best friend set out to find him and teach him and his new lover a lesson. The movie is produced by the Duplass brothers and has an extreme feel of closeness and nonstop movement, like Crank, so all the action feels intimate and exacerbated.
Black Mirror ‘White Christmas’ (2014) – December 25
I’m so stoked to see last years highly talked about Christmas special for the tech-saavy anthology show Black Mirror… er, should I say the new NETFLIX ORIGIAL Black Mirror. Because that’s a real thing, 12 new episodes coming our way soon!
