It looks like Arrested Development will be making its way back into our Netflix queues fairly soon. In an article published yesterday, Chief Content Officer of Netflix Ted Sarandos said that he was “positive” there would be a fifth season of probably one of the greatest shows on television. This news seems much more concrete than recent Seinfeld rumors from last months Reddit AMA with the star.
“It’s just a matter of when,” Sarandos said to USA Today, “noting that the busy schedules of the show’s stars could delay production.”
We first heard about a possible fifth season of Arrested Development last summer, when a Netflix spokesperson told Variety the streaming service would be interested in future episodes of the show “if it is logistically possible.” But I was under the impression that the plan was to do two seasons and then a feature film.. I hope it’s longer than It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World… but unlike that film, it’ll be funny.
As a huge fan of the show and a now functioning blog writer, I’m stoked to have to opportunity to use up all my stored up Arrested Development puns. One day you’ll see an article on here “Let Netflix Help Cure Your TBD with All New Episodes Of ‘Arrested Development’”
Ok, that one wasn’t so good, but give me time! I’m in shock.
