‘The Ridiculous Six’ Breaks The Netflix Streaming Record

There’s one thing I’ll say, at least haters of the movie watched it to form an opinion! While taking questions after their CES keynote, CEO Reed Hastings and chief content officer Ted Sarandos mentioned that their Adam Sandler Western The Ridiculous Six streamed more in it’s first 30 days than anything else in Netflix’s history. This being the most-watched film on Netflix in general, not the most watched Netflix original film… that wouldn’t be too hard considering their movie Beast of No Nation didn’t do too well.

“It’s also enjoyed a spot at #1 in every territory we operate in, and in many of them it’s still #1,” Said Sarandos.

One of the main reasons they picked up the four picture deal with Happy Madison was to help popularize the company with places Sandler was famous… and after todays keynote, it was revealed that Netflix is now available everywhere except China. Sorry China, you aren’t allowed to see that our women’s prisons are better than you 5-star hotels…

So like it or not, haters can hate hate hate, Netflix gonna bathe bathe bathe (in your money). The Ridiculous Six will continue to stream until the end of Netflix… so if you haven’t watched it you can feel free to do so now… or just read my review for it here.
