5 HORROR FILMS ON NETFLIX TO MAKE YOUR OCTOBER OCTOLERABLE (VIDEO)

I’ve been watching a lot of movies this month and wanted to share with you some of the picks that I’ve found that are absolutely worth checking out if you want to make up for the fact that you watched the Carrie remake…

This list is for those who enjoy horror movies enough to appreciate even the bad ones. I’m totally aware that Satan’s Little Helper is basically an R rated episode of Goosebumps but that doesn’t take away from the Canadian goodness that can be found in the more brutal and planned out scenes. Night of the Creeps is by far one of my favorite films, it’s that song you always want to put on your mixtapes because it’s THAT GOOD. The creativity and love for horror that Fred Dekker has culminates in his pictures, best expressed in Monster Squad (I REALLY WISH IT WAS ON NETFLIX). Grave Encounters is a movie that no one thought would be good until Tribeca Film Festival picked it up for distribution, something about the directors calling themselves The Vicious Brothers doesn’t really appeal to people. Luckily that doesn’t come up until after the fade to black… no one will ever know! The Stuff couldn’t be better for the time period it was created… it’s everything 70s and 80s, a time when “we can fix that in post” was never said on set.

If you read this website and don’t know about my love for Shakma you’re not paying attention and I’m offended. You should go back and read everything I wrote on the film. Then you can come back to me in a comment to tell me what you think of the film. It’s TOO GOOD FOR DVD!

Thanks for watching and reading! Hope you got a few picks to “add to your queue” out of me…
